Summer 2026 is here!
Ibiza, 29th May 2026.
Dear adventure lovers,
Stivi here – hope you’re all well. I’ve been wanting to post a few lines for weeks already, but our spring season has been kinda busy and suddenly June is already on our doorstep, so it’s about time to tell you a little about what’s cooking at Balearic Outdoor Adventures HQ.
Summer 2026 Plans
As most of you know, during the summer months, our main hub of activities is the island of Ibiza, but with enough lead time, we can also provide tours on all other Balearic Islands, both single day trips as well as multi-day adventures (read on for that!).
Our main focus remains on offering high quality hiking experiences. We provide quality rather than quantity.
We create bespoke hiking adventures designed around our guests, not mass-produced itineraries. We deeply care about the environment and aim to offer a real alternative to mass tourism. Our goal is to take you out of your comfort zone a little and take you somewhere you wouldn’t get without us. And ideally, we take you somewhere where you don’t find a lot of other people. Doing this also means keeping groups small and working within the limits outlined by the authorities in charge of maintaining our beautiful islands. These are our values and we consider them every step of the way.
The hiking sector has grown massively here on Ibiza in the last few years with lots of new providers popping up and I wish everyone had the same protectionist views on things as we do, but sadly that’s wishful thinking. Still though, we’ll keep on leading by example, because we want the islands to stay beautiful in years to come. And rather than bad mouthing anyone, I would like to do the opposite and point out a few people who I think are doing a great job here on Ibiza. On one hand, Donovan and Marc from The Other Face Ibiza, whom I feel very aligned to when it comes to how we should treat nature in general and on the other hand, Naor from Ibiza Nature Hikes, who’s the best on the island when it comes to plants. All of them are also certified hiking guides, which is the absolute minimum you should be looking out for when booking a hike with any company, because again, sadly there’s lots of brands now with guides that have received no proper training – and it shows. So if we’re ever fully booked (it happens), the aforementioned guys are my recommendation.
Summer 2026 Guide Team
Back to Balearic Outdoor Adventures now. For those of you who had been hiking with us last year at some point, you might have met the three musketeers – Andy, Joan and myself. For this summer, our squad of guides has changed a little. Andy’s taken up a new exciting role at a soon to be opened small nightlife venue, so he’s sadly not available as much this summer. Joan on the other hand is active both on Mallorca (where he lives) as well as on Ibiza. And myself, I’m available wherever you need me.
The exciting team news comes in the form of Ana, our first ever female guide. Ana has just finished her mountain leader course, so she’s got the same level of training as myself and I’m really proud that we can now count on the only female guide with this level of guide training here on Ibiza.
Winter 2026 – 2027 Plans
Always save the best for last! I’m very excited to announce we’ve got a full winter hiking programme ready to go. I’ve been working hard in the background over the last couple of months to put this together and I’m very happy to present our first winter adventures schedule to you.
Between November 2026 and April 2027, we’re running various multi-day hiking and mountaineering trips both on the Balearic Islands as well as abroad. We’ve got various winter hiking trips in Mallorca planned and we’ll do our first ever Ibiza New Years trip. Later in the winter we head to Morocco to tackle Mount Toubkal and we obviously visit Switzerland for a winter mountaineering and snowshoeing trip in the heart of the Swiss Alps, where it all started for me. And just before the next summer comes, we’ll hike around the entire island of Formentera again.
All trip dates can be found here. To get more info (and then book your spot), simply email or whatsapp us!
I’d also like to point out that if you’re a group of friends, a big family, a company, a sports club or similar, we can also put these trips together on the dates that work for you. We’ve got more trips planned for the winter after that and some of the trips offered this winter will almost remain on the same dates in future winters, so if you’ve already got plans for this winter, make sure you get the dates in your diary for the one after that.
Have a fantastic summer everyone and hopefully see you out on the trails very soon.
