The smallest of the inhabited Balearic Islands is heaven for beach bums. Only accessible by ferry, Formentera boasts some of the most beautiful beaches in the entire Mediterranean and attracts holiday makers with its super laid back atmosphere.Its relatively flat terrain makes Formentera an ideal destination for easy to moderate tours – on foot, on wheels (e-bikes) or on the water (SUP/paddleboarding and kayak). Formentera’s tourist season is pretty short, things only properly get going in May and dwindle in September already, with the last places shutting in October. During the winter months, the island falls into a deep sleep.
Formentera is often also visited as a one-day excursion from Ibiza, and that you can actually do all year round.
